Grand Victorian French Polished Chest of Drawers

We are pleased to present this stunning grand Victorian mahogany chest of drawers, newly added to our autumn/winter collection for 2025.

This exquisite piece features a completely original design and is truly one of a kind. Dating back to the late 1800s, this set of drawers remains in incredible condition for its age, showing very minimal signs of wear. The top, base, and distinctive bun feet have all been newly French polished, enhancing the rich mahogany wood with a beautiful, smooth, and glossy surface that closely replicates the original finish.

The main body of the piece has been thoughtfully decoupaged with a paper from Anna Hayman’s collection, named Rapture, adding an artistic touch. To further modernise and elevate the design, opaque Aubergine stripes have been carefully incorporated, blending contemporary twenty-first-century interior style with the integrity of the original Victorian craftsmanship, making this a truly unique statement piece. All decoupaged areas have been meticulously sealed with multiple layers of a high-quality polyurethane sealer, providing a deep, resilient shine that complements the French polish while offering a durable, waterproof finish.

The dimensions of this elegant chest are 110 × 110 × 55 cm.
