Witch & Watchman Commissioned Sideboard

We had the wonderful opportunity to restore a 1920’s sideboard crafted by my client's Great Grandfather, a highly skilled and respected furniture maker. Despite its vintage appearance, the piece is crafted from sturdy oak and remains in exceptional condition. While my client was eager to preserve this cherished family heirloom, its traditional design didn't quite align with her contemporary eclectic interior decor.

After undergoing meticulous preparation and repair of certain components, the exterior has been meticulously adorned with decoupage using an exquisite paper from Witch & Watchman. Particular attention has been devoted to ensuring precise alignment of the pattern with minimal seams, bestowing the piece with a remarkably sharp and immaculate appearance. A delicate paint wash has been applied to the oak top to harmonize with the paper and highlight the natural beauty of the wood grain. Comprehensive sealing has been employed across all areas to enhance durability and ensure long-lasting quality.
As you can imagine, our client was absolutely ecstatic with the exceptional results achieved, and this exquisite piece will now go on to be admired, cherished, and used for many more years to come.
